Brandon and Kelly became proud parents in 2017, but their bundle of joy wasn’t a baby. Instead, they welcomed Bentley Madsen into their family with open arms. This precious addition to their household quickly found a special place in their hearts and became a cherished member of the family.
As time passed, the family’s attention turned to their newborn baby boy named Tyler, who was born in February of the following year. To commemorate this special occasion, the family came up with the idea of having a photoshoot, and even their furry friend, Bentley, wanted to join in on the fun.
Kelly described Bentley, her 5-year-old goldendoodle, as a charming and loving dog with a playful and clever personality. Despite his quirkiness, such as his difficulty catching balls, the family adored him for his unique traits, including his loyalty and endearing affection. When Tyler was born, the family took careful measures to ensure that Bentley was introduced to the new baby in a gentle and thoughtful way. They brought home a blanket and hat from the hospital to acclimate Bentley to Tyler’s scent, and just days later, the two formed a remarkable bond as Bentley curiously sniffed and interacted with the newborn.
Interestingly, Bentley had a knack for detecting Tyler’s unease even before Brandon and Kelly noticed it. The loyal dog would immediately go to the crying infant with a caring demeanor, which earned him the endearing nickname of “baby monitor.” As Tyler matured, he and Bentley developed an inseparable bond, strengthened by the little boy’s habit of sharing his snacks with his furry companion. Bentley became a steadfast presence in Tyler’s life, taking part in his playtime and nap routines.
As the family planned to take pictures of Tyler during his early days, Bentley instinctively found himself drawn towards the little tyke. He effortlessly positioned himself next to Tyler, exhibiting his loving disposition and desire for affection. Throughout the photo session and beyond, Bentley’s deep bond with Tyler was evident as he cuddled up next to him or rested his head on him. As time passed, Tyler’s first birthday arrived, and the family had captured an entire year’s worth of precious moments through photographs. Among them was Tyler’s first birthday picture where Bentley proudly stood by his side, displaying their unbreakable connection.
According to Kelly, Bentley and Tyler’s story has just begun and there are more adventures to come. She jokingly predicted that Tyler’s first word might be “Bentley”, which shows the strong bond they share. Their friendship is likely to deepen over time, making their journey a significant part of their family’s history.
